If you’ve been following me for a while, it’ll be no surprise that I’m a big fan of “non-toys” - items from the real world that are interesting and engaging for kids.

You may have noticed that your kids are more interested in the remote control or screwdriver set vs. their own toys and there’s a very good reason for that!

… They’re learning about the WORLD - things that they see people using in real life and those are the things they gravitate towards.

These items are different and sometimes feel “forbidden” because they’re not explicitly toys. This makes them even more fun and exciting for kids.

✨ OUR FAVE NON-TOYS
Some of our favourite “non-toys” to travel with are:

• magnetic silicone cable ties (seriously THE BEST 🧲)
• bendy rubber cable ties
• tally counter
• rechargeable mini fan
• pocket calculator
• post-it notes
• old phones
• mini flashlights
• retractable measuring tape
• and a box of bandaids
