Looking for fun things to do with kids near Toronto ? Just a short drive from the city, Mississauga has some of the COOLEST indoor activities for kids! I'm talking go karting, glow-in-the-dark trampolines, VR experiences in space, and even a place where you can literally throw paint everywhere.
As a mom who's always hunting for fun activities with my two little wildlings, I’ve done a lot of exploring and rounded up this list of the best things to do with kids in Mississauga. All of these spots are just minutes from Toronto, parking is usually free, and they're all indoors.
I've tested all these places with my own kids (ages 4 and 7), and let me tell you, they've given each one their very enthusiastic seal of approval.
Table of Contents
Space Explorers: THE INFINITE
This is one of Mississauga's newest and most mind-blowing experiences right now. Space Explorers: THE INFINITE is a fully immersive VR journey that transports you aboard the International Space Station. Based on the Emmy Award-winning series and created in collaboration with NASA, you'll walk among astronauts, float through the ISS modules, and witness Earth from breathtaking new perspectives, all without leaving the ground.
The experience is built from cinematic 3D 360-degree footage filmed inside and outside the actual International Space Station. It's unlike anything else in the GTA - my son absolutely LOVED this experience and asked to go again as soon as we finished. Note: this experience is only for ages 8+.
K1 Speed – Indoor Go-Kart Racing
This 100% electric indoor go-kart track in Mississauga is perfect for kids who love speed! K1 Speed offers junior karts for kids 6+ (minimum 48" tall) and adult karts for teens and grownups 14+ (minimum 58" tall). Note though that adult and junior races don't happen at the same time so you won't be able to drive on the track WITH your kids.
Races are held on a winding, twisty indoor track with real-time lap timing, protective barriers, and all the excitement of a real race da, minus the fumes and noise of gas engines. This one was SO MUCH FUN!
Air Riderz Trampoline Park
If your kids need to burn off some serious energy, Air Riderz is the place to go. This massive 26,000 sq. ft. trampoline park at 3600 Ridgeway Drive in Mississauga has wall-to-wall trampolines, a Ninja Warrior course, dodgeball arena, stunt bags, rock climbing, interactive Valo Jump trampolines, and even an indoor playground for the little ones. They also have Toddler Time sessions so your youngest ones can bounce safely without the bigger kids around.
Glow Riderz: This is one of their coolest offerings. On Friday and Saturday nights, Air Riderz transforms into a glow-in-the-dark bouncing party with blacklights and music. Ages 5+ for this one. If your kids are into that neon, high-energy vibe, this is a must. Wear white or neon to really light up under the blacklights, and don't forget grip socks!
HUB Climbing – Indoor Rock Climbing for Kids
If your kids love to climb (or climb your walls at home), they'll have a blast at HUB Climbing. Located right beside SkyZone, this place takes indoor rock climbing to the next level with themed walls, fun challenges, and even a giant beanstalk to scale.
Before you visit though, there are some important details to know: kids need to be at least 4 years old AND weigh at least 35 pounds - this isn't flexible because it's required for the auto belay safety equipment to work properly. You'll also need to fill out a whole bunch of waivers (I recommend doing these all ahead of time online as they can take a little while) and bring ID / health cards for everyone in your group, including the kids. They're pretty strict on all of this, but for good reason as they take safety very seriously here.
Once you're checked in, the staff will get everyone fitted in harnesses and show parents how to work the auto-belay system (basically a smart pulley that safely lowers climbers down). The climbing walls are super creative - kids can climb up a dinosaur, jump between skyscrapers, tackle a tetris wall, or try balancing on spinning gear obstacles. For extra challenges, each climb has a star rating, or kids can try building their own climbing wall in the Crate Challenge.
The Drop Slide and Giant Jump (where kids leap toward a trapeze bar or punching bag) were definite highlights!
Boogles Playhouse
Boogles Playhouse is a hidden gem tucked inside Square One Shopping Centre (right beside the Food District). It's an indoor playground that blends play with Montessori-style learning and is perfect for little ones aged 18 months to 6 years.
The best part? You can actually drop off your child for up to 3 hours of supervised activities while you shop, eat, or just enjoy some guilt-free me-time at the mall. Your little one gets to enjoy arts and crafts, a life-size dollhouse, a performer's stage, and more, all in the caring hands of Registered Early Childhood Educators. Parents just need to stay on the mall property for the duration of the play session.
Planet Splatter
One of the most unique activities to do in Mississauga with kids is Planet Splatter! This paint splatter experience is a must-do. It's basically a room where you just let loose, make a mess and splat away on any wall, person or object. The whole space is also illuminated with UV lighting, making every splash of paint glow with amazing fluorescent effects. Ages 5+ only!
The variety of paint tools makes it extra fun. There's a selfie cannon perfect for capturing colorful action shots, and for the adventurous, a dunk tank where you can sit under a bucket of paint that dumps right over your head. Before your session starts, you'll pick your paint colors, which look incredible under the blacklights.
They provide protective glasses (mandatory), plus optional ponchos and shoe covers. Even with the covers, wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting paint on. While the paint is washable, it's best to be cautious with your clothing choices.
Sessions run 40 minutes, and the Family Package (for 4 people) includes paint brushes, slings, bombs, blasters, and 20 bottles of paint. There's a changing room with lockers for your belongings, which you'll definitely want to use.
Kidsapia Indoor Playground - Perfect for Younger Kids
Located in the same building as Cineplex Junxion (super convenient!), the newly renovated Kidsapia is ideal for younger children. The playground features an innovative Japanese soft play system with moving structures that both of my kids really enjoyed. Here’s what else makes it stand out:
It’s super clean and well-maintained
Fully gated space for safety (no escape artists!)
Comfortable parent seating with clear views of the play area
Perfect size for younger children to explore safely
💡 Important note: Kidsapia indoor playground is strictly for younger kids under 130cm /52 inches tall
Golf on Lounge
Golf On Lounge at is such a fun spot for families, even if nobody in your crew has ever picked up a golf club. They have 11 bays with Trackman simulators that are loaded with golf games beyond just regular golf, so it's super approachable for kids and non-golfers. The simulators are on giant screens and when you're done golfing, you can switch them over to Mario Kart racing which was a huge hit with my kids.
But the golf simulators are just the beginning. They've also got mini putt, bowling, karaoke, pool, giant Jenga, Connect Four, and private party rooms. And club rentals are free so you don't need to bring your own.
Funday! Indoor Playground
This brand-new indoor playground recreates Toronto's iconic landmarks in kid-sized form. The attention to detail at Funday! Indoor Playground is impressive, from the CN Tower climbing structure to the SkyDome sports zone (you know you’ve come to the right place when it’s called “SkyDome” - if you know, you know). There's also:
A massive and safe climbing structure with light-up slides, a ball pit with an interactive air drop system, a mini trampoline and rock wall
“Funco” (aka Costco) grocery store and kitchen
A really cool tech-space upstairs with an interactive drawing screen
Condo play space with a kitchen and bedroom with dress up costumes, a makeup area and baby dolls
Soft play toddler area under the CN Tower
Mini arcade games and kiddie rides
Parents can hang out in the comfortable TTC subway car seating area while enjoying coffee and snacks from the cafe. This is one of the cleanest, thoughtfully designed and unique indoor playgrounds we’ve been to. Highly recommend a visit!
Cineplex Junxion at Erin Mills – The Ultimate Movie Theatre
If you’re heading to Mississauga for a family movie night , this is where you want to be. Cineplex Junxion at Erin Mills is not your average movie theatre —it’s got full reclining seats (you heard me!!), an arcade , and an upgraded food menu that goes beyond popcorn.
The kids Mini Combo is cute and actually worth getting. It features:
a child-sized popcorn
drink in a special themed cup
bag of Jolly Rancher gummies
and a Big Screen Buddy toy
Parents will appreciate the free refills on large popcorn orders and kids will love the high-tech self-serve drink machines with a ton of flavors and options to choose from.
We watched Dog Man at 4:30 PM , and I can confirm—the fully reclining seats make this one of the most comfortable movie experiences ever. Game changer for family movie time, especially if you've got a little one who usually ends up in your lap!
The kids had a blast in the massive arcade before and after the show, playing everything from claw machines to racing games. Our favourite was the life size Hungry Hungry Hippo ride-on game.
Also, for parents who enjoy a drink with their movie, the facility is fully licensed with a comfortable lounge area – you can have a drink in the auditoriums or games floor!
GlowZone 360 - Glow-in-the-Dark Mini Putt Golf
For a unique indoor experience, GlowZone 360 is a must-visit . The glow-in-the-dark mini golf course is super fun and totally different from traditional mini putt —think neon obstacles, blacklights, and glowing walls! There are 18 themed holes that take about 30-45 minutes to complete. The course offers enough challenges to keep older kids engaged while remaining fun for younger players.
In addition to mini golf , they have a laser tag arena and an arcade , so there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained.
Parent Tip: Have everyone wear neon or white —you’ll glow under the blacklights , and the kids will think it’s the coolest thing ever.
Thanks to Visit Mississauga for sponsoring this fun-filled adventure! While this post is sponsored, all opinions (and kid-tested recommendations!) are 100% my own.
